winter_rogueSo, quiet weekend. I admittedly accomplished MUCH less than I intended, but isn't that how it always goes?
Baked an absolutely delicious chicken pot pie on saturday. Not very difficult, I made half a batch, stuck it in a "pan" made out of tin foil and ate it over the weekend lol. linkie
Finally bit the bullet and started catching up on Doctor Who. I haven't watched it since the end of series 4 (and by that I mean the first end, with Donna). Like SGA I think a large part of myself was clinging to the idea that if I just didn't watch it it wouldnt be true. I miss Tennant. I miss him lots and lots. He's by far the craziest and most ambiguously megalomaniac and I just love it. I remember being VERY unhappy when they leaked who the new doctor was going to be and stayed away from his series because, well, it was a little too DOCTOR WHO!RESET.
But anyways, watched the bridge series with Tennant and started working my way through series 5 with the new guy who, is actually pretty awesome. I did initially kind of like Amelia Pond but, but of me just, blah--least of all because she basically jumped on the poor doctor and tried to suck his face off >.> But I'm getting ahead of myself, first I need to touch on the bridge episodes.
In conclusion, around Episode Plant of the Dead (either that or right before that when i was rewatching Midnight for gratuitous Colin Morgan) I posted this
on my facebook thread. Then I watched the rest of the episodes, ending with The End of Time and /facepalmed all over the place. I really wish I could have made that assessment before everything had aired for everyone else so it'd feel a bit more legitimate.
And then there was this new, super young doctor who wears a blood BOWTIE. And ironically he feels older, like a grandfatherly type stuck in a young body! ahaha. I'm quite amused thus far. Also the writing (which I notice Russell boy is not involved with anymore) is quite good, though I still say Bad Wolf is better than a crack in the wall; but that may just be because it's almost the extent of my "welsh" XD
I eat this insanity up with SPOON.
Next up: commentfic? and more icons. I work at a snails pace. A snail who stops to take naps in the flowers and go on picnics.

- Russell T Davis shipped Master/Doctor as a kid! He totally totally did, there's probably fanfic out there!!

- How epic were those crazy Gallifreyans? Aw I love those bastards. And the guy who played the head honcho, cannot think of his name but he really does do good villian.
- John Simms you are amazing. He took crazy Master to a who new level of nomnom
- The Doctor's idea of saving Jack is hooking him up with baby-face military guy! ahahaha <3 I need to watch Torchwood fml
- Martha & Mickey are so pretty can they have their own show? mini series? I'm still pissed that Torchwood got (cancelled?) and that they weren't picked up as regulars. Gah it would be so epic!
- Merlin/Doctor y/y??? <---- I'm writing this, hopefully with epic universal angst? tea? and nekkid goodness. idk. and then Jack tries to PU Arthur. idek
