my wednesday

winter_roguemowed lawn, record time of 1 hr 5 min. yay! then went grocery shopping with the sister and ended up with the kid in one of those little front carrier pack things and got to bounce all over Top Foods without anyone looking funny at me. in fact lots of ladies smiled at me! i went from the person who smiles at everyone else and then gets "omg! they let a quack out of the insane assilum!" looks in return to the one who random people give "awww, how cute" looks too. *rolls eyes* people!.
i think i'm getting a system down on that lawn mowing and i'm glad i can do it (sore ass or not) cause the bro is allergic to grass (which i didnt realize until i offered to do it for the summer and we were comiserating over the job) and thats just not cool.
i started work on a new song and i like it (i've got the first verse written and basic music arranged) but i'm sort of stuck where to take it *ponders* i need to just sit down and work on it instead of just mulling over the fact that i'm stuck *lol*
i need to read R&J too *sigh*
and make icons *wee!*
zucchini bread is cooling, yum.
the cool aunt and uncle (from Canada) are visiting the parents tomorrow and we're all getting together for dinner (da's making gumbo with anjole [excuse the spelling] sausage.) which should be fun. mum is all atwitter because i had a poem and short story featured in this last months writerly mag from my school (random bits they grabbed from my CW class) and she can't wait to show them off to the Uncle who's a professor/writer/antique book dealer.
i borrowed the next couple of SGA eps from the sis too which is v. yay! will watch them tonight :D
