right, so Canada with the actually interesting relatives was muchos fun. We all went to the Van Deusen Gardens, Queen Elizabeth Park, The Bloudell (sp?) Conservatory, and Grenville Market. the only thing i bought was a pair of chop sticks simply because in Canada we ended up going to mostly baby/cooking places (neither of which i'm overly interested in, baby for obvious reasons and cooking...well, i enjoy cooking but its not as if i need a new skillet or something). i was hoping to go shoe shopping and maybe hats shopping w/ a bit of beaded jewelry shopping thrown in (and i really wanted to try to find a cute peasent top if i could) but no luck because the sis was tired after all the baby shoping -_- bah.
the Aunt cooked for us both nights which was wonderfully good and the bro, Uncle and I had coffee just about every 3 hrs *lol* also v.good. the Uncle has an amazing machine which he uses to make straight shots in these cute little demitass glasses.
i got a bunch of pictures and the sis took some. mine still need to be developed but
here's one of me thats not a bad pic of my hair (i had my sunglasses in most of the others) and my semi ratty black jacket. *sigh* i <3 that jecket *lol*
on the way back we stopped and had lunch in Fairhaven--gorgeous place. i would love to go back and just spend a day exploring the area.
also stopped in Tacoma and ran into Half Price Books for a half hour. picked up a book on Cairo and an almost brand new copt of
The Faerie Queene for just under $15. v.happy.
i desperatly need to get exercising again. i'm not even going to bother looking at the scale for another day or two because i'm sure my system is freaking out over the salt i probably consumed >_< i actually did pretty good over all, i kept porportions small and didnt have seconds, did a good bit of walking--all except the last day on the ride home where i indulged in a really big scone and an italian soda *lol* it was cocanut though and reeeeaaally good.
i need to change all my money back to american though--banks were closed Sunday so i'm stuck with a bunch of Canada but barely $3 american.
*yawns* still really tired. we didnt really do a lot of sleeping. the B&B was cute, it was an old colonial building. not posh but charming though the bathroom was an expirience because the ceiling slanted and the slant on one side was all glass and looked out on the neighboring ceiling which was a little bit higher and then the shower was glass and there were not curtains. we didnt have any problems but you should have seen the sis when she first saw it *shakes her head*
mm, i think dinners almost ready so thats all. i might have some pretty animal/statue/flower pictures to post later.
