Britt's still gone... how long exactly does it take to drive to Idaho? *pouts* i miss my chat buddy... i even wrote her fic... admittedly not smut fic like she wanted but still... thought that counts.

i've been reading Lord of the Flies for the past day or so... about halfway through it. 1) i'm a little disturbed with how much a few of these charas remind me of myself (as so far as i've read that is) 2) about 40 pages in? my little slash alarm was buzzing over Ralph and Jack. does that make me a weird sick person? its not so much anymore cause Jack is just creeping. me. out. now but... there was something there. well, there might have been if they hadnt been 12. 3) i think i've been spoiled by C.S. Lewis's well mannered English children cause the kids in LotF are nothing like them, and except for their occasional use of slang and their cursing i wouldnt be able to tell them from many Americans i went to Jr. High with... well, more like late grade school but anyway.

i meant to have it finished by tonight but i think it might bleed into tomorrow.

i've been making icons... i have about 6 Joan of Arcadia finished at the moment and a couple Johnny Depp i promised a friend *g* its so much fun fiddling around with these tiny little canvases... especially now with [livejournal.com profile] dorky_duck's brushes which are just beautiful and amazing :)

la... i think my SM cd just ran out *sigh* better go grab something new to listen to... *runs off to raid her cd's*

Oh, I had to read Lord of the Flies for English this year & I absolutely *hated* that novel. I couldn't stand reading it because it almost put me to sleep, lol. It wouldn't have been as bad, IMO, if the author didn't describe every little thing. I did like the characters, they were well developed, but it just bored me to death, lol.

heehee, my problem is --like you said-- he goes on and on about something and i finish a paragraph and i have NO IDEA what he was trying to describe cause my mind wandered into what i was going to cook for dinner *lol* though what REALLY bugs me is he kind of "asumes" i guess that the author knows what he's talking about --like he says something but the sentance just sorta stops and is uber vague-- and i cant help but go "huh? wtf are you talking about?" and i'm good with vague but this is just rediculous sometimes *g* but its on my wacky reading list so i've got to muddle through. guess its penence for being allowed to have Drac on the list as well ;)

uh huh! Sometimes I had to read parts like 5 times & I still didn't understand what the author was getting at! Also, my mind would wander too so that didn't help much either, lol. Crazy book that is, hehe. I've never read Dracula before, might have a go at it sometime, it probably would be something of interest to me :)
