so, politically speaking i'm pretty much in the middle, not ultra-conservative nor super liberal. i like happy mediums.
my parents, suffice is to say are very conservative. that's fine, thats there prerogative. my father holds a deep and unyeilding scorn for anyone who uses the phrase global warming or climate change. and, personally i havent looked into the issue too deeply so whether or not there is any conclusive evidence to suggest that the planet is undergoing drastic and bad changes verses a cyclical climate change i dont know and i think it's a little besides the point. because the truth is, if nothing else, we *are* generating massive amounts of garbage, we are pumping out chemicals and gases that are, if nothing else, toxic to people and animals.
so, looking at it from their perspective it confuses me when it suddenly became non christian to worry about the planet and want to take care of the place god gave us in the first place?
it irks me to no end when people mistakenly mix up their politics with their religion and then makes political judgements as though they were handed down from the hand of god, as though that was justification when really its just pig headedness with no biblical basis that they've wrapped up in dogma.
*sigh*
