why must ancient empires do such a crappy job of recording their own history? whhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhy? and why do i put off doing these long arse assignments when i know there'll be lots of research involved and limited rescources?

also, how desperate is a person when they pull out a can of condensed milk from xmas? thanksgiving? because there is not milk in the house and they want coffee?
