busy tuesday
Jan. 4th, 2005 04:43 pmi have a powerpoint presentation to..work on. i need to do most of it...though probably not all because its a group project. unfortunatly 1/2 my group was sleeping in lab today and my friend (the two of us have done all of the work so far) has prior commitments in the afternoons which makes it impossible for us to get together and work on the PPP. so, i'll probably en dup doing most/all of it tonight. not that it should be that hard but... oh well. i'm not going to feel guilty because the other two members of out roup have put forth no effort and i'm not in the mood to try to get them to help here at the end. (the debate is thursday)
i've been reading away at The Light Fantastic and its wonderfully funny. i was in stitches earlier. in many ways it reminds me of The Hitchhiker's Guide... because there are many similarities between the humor styles but reading it, its different enough (and the images it creates in my head while i'm reading are different enough) that i'm finding it quite an excellent read.
i think my problem lately is i've been trudging back and forth between 3 different classics and while they are fascinating and i enjoy them to a certain extent, i keep getting tired of them and switching around between the three and therefore havent finished any of them and subconsciously i feel like i'm failing and that does not inspire me to continue reading. *takes a breath* and you really wanted to know that didnt you? *lol* seriously though, i havent really fely excited to be reading anything (except for the occasional urge to read more in Sons & Lovers) in awhile and its nice to have the urge to get off the computer and just curl up with a book. i was starting to scare myself there for awhile *lol*
anyway, enough babble right?
i have a new layout for UAN but i havent had the time to put it up yet *sigh* maybe tomorrow afternoon? i should have a lighter class load then unless there are major last minute things i have to do on the PPP.
*runs off to turn off overhead fan* brr
